# Switching between websites

Find the website accounts you can use and switch your active INSIDE workspace.

*Release 3.3 · admin, operator, supervisor*

**Websites**

## What it is

**Websites** lists the INSIDE accounts available to you. You can search the list, compare current workload and select the account you want to work in.

## Who uses it and why

Operators switch between accounts they serve. Supervisors use the workload columns to check activity. Users with the **Settings** role select an account before changing its settings.

## Where to find it

Open the **Websites** selector in the operator console. The current website has a highlighted indicator in the list.

## How it works

1. Open **Websites**.
2. Use **Search** to narrow the list.
3. Select a column heading to sort, then select the required website row.
4. Allow the console to reconnect and confirm the selected account before making changes.

The list includes **Site Name**, **Web Visitors**, **Chats**, **Calls**, **Tickets**, **Social** and **Operators**. **Developer** access adds the website ID. Powerfront can view **Account Key**.

## Configure it

There are no directory-specific settings. A user with the **Settings** or **Manager** role and the required operator permissions configures your website access and default website in **Settings › Account › Operators**. Selecting an account in the directory changes your current workspace.

### Permissions

| Permission | Lets you |
|---|---|
| Developer | See website IDs in the directory. |

## Limits and good to know

Only activated, unsuspended accounts are included. You see the accounts you are permitted to use. Powerfront can review all eligible accounts.

The workload columns show live activity, not a historical report. Sorting or switching websites does not change your account's default website.

## Depends on and works with

### This feature uses

- **Requires** Website accounts (managed by Powerfront): The directory lists activated, unsuspended website accounts.
- **Configured in** [Operator accounts](ADM-007.md): The operator account holds the default website.
- **Configured in** [Website, channel and subsite access](ADM-009.md): Website access grants determine which accounts ordinary users can select.

### Used by

- **Configures** [Saving settings](ADM-005.md): The website selected in the directory determines which account receives a settings change.
- **Configures** [Finding your way around Settings](ADM-028.md): The current website determines the settings context.
- **Enhances** [INSIDE console](CON-001.md): The Websites selector lets authorised operators change website.

## FAQ and troubleshooting

### Why is a website missing?

Check your website access with a user who has the **Settings** or **Manager** role and the required operator permissions. The account must also be activated and unsuspended.

### Why can someone else see more accounts?

Their account may have different website grants.

### Does switching change my default website?

No. A user with the **Settings** or **Manager** role and the required operator permissions sets the default in your operator account.

### Why are the counts different from a report?

These columns describe current workload. Reports cover their selected time period and use their own definitions.
