# Video Feed for visitors

Let visitors browse videos, explore linked products and move into chat or appointment booking.

*Release 3.3 · admin, operator, visitor*

**Settings › Chat › Themes** · **Settings › General Settings › Video Feed**

## What it is

**Video Feed** lets visitors browse published videos and discover related products. The experience can open from a website video entry, a shared video or a show. Depending on its configuration, a video can also offer chat or appointment booking.

## Who uses it and why

Visitors watch content and follow product or advisor links. Operators share relevant videos and respond when viewers start chat. People with the **Settings** role choose the visitor controls in the theme; Powerfront manages the website's sharing, retention and video measurement settings.

## Where to find it

Visitors use the configured video launcher or a shared video or show link. **Back to Chat** returns them to the conversation. Chat can offer **Back to Video Feed** or **Back to Show** to return to the content.

With the **Settings** role, edit video options in **Settings › Chat › Themes**. Powerfront can change **Settings › General Settings › Video Feed** for you.

## How it works

Visitors scroll or swipe through the available videos, or use previous and next controls. They can play or pause, seek, mute, and replay with **Play Again**. The theme determines whether videos repeat or advance automatically.

Where enabled, visitors can search for content, select a tag, revisit a previous search, like or unlike a video, and share it. Sharing uses the browser's sharing option when available; otherwise the link is copied to the clipboard.

Linked product thumbnails open their product pages. A video's chat action follows the configured operator or team availability. An offline action can instead offer scheduling or a task. During an existing audio or video call, a return control takes the visitor back to the call.

Video views and playback activity are recorded for the configured viewing filters, event triggers and alerts.

## Configure it

With the **Settings** role, edit the applicable theme in **Themes**. Choose the video content, chat targets, offline action and the controls visitors should see. Review **Hide Search**, **Hide Share Option**, **Autoplay Next Video** and **Loop Video Count**, then test the experience on desktop and mobile.

Ask Powerfront to change website-wide sharing permissions, **Hide Products**, offline-video deletion, video sales attribution or viewing thresholds. Ask for an explicit watched percentage and verify the saved value.

### Permissions

## Limits and good to know

- Shared-video and show entry can present different controls from the main theme feed.
- Website sharing permission, theme visibility and the video's publication visibility affect whether a share button appears. Visitor sharing is offered for company-visible videos.
- An unavailable video owner does not guarantee an immediate chat. The configured offline action determines what is offered.
- Likes and some navigation and search preferences use browser storage, so they need not follow a visitor to another browser.
- Search history retains up to five distinct searches that returned results in that browser.
- Video sales attribution has its own window. Do not assume it matches ordinary chat sales attribution.

## FAQ and troubleshooting

### Why is Share missing?

Check **Hide Share Option** in the theme and the video's publication visibility. Powerfront can check **Allow Visitors to Share Videos** or **Allow Operators to Share Videos**, as appropriate.

### Why are products missing?

The video needs linked products. Powerfront can also check **Hide Products**.

### Why does a video offer booking instead of immediate chat?

The intended advisor may be unavailable, and the configured offline action may offer appointment booking.

### Why is Search missing on a shared video?

The active theme or shared-video context can hide search. A shared video can remain viewable even when the full feed is not enabled.

### How do I return to my conversation or call?

Use **Back to Chat** or the return-to-call control when shown. The chat header can then offer a return to the feed or show.
