What it is

The Content Library stores products and Looks for reuse in Live Shows. A product can include images, translated text, a destination address and a price. A Look groups product details under its own name and thumbnail.

Who uses it and why

Users with the Live Shows role maintain catalogue content and find and prepare products for presentation. Developers help supply product identifiers, links and images that match the website catalogue.

Where to find it

With the Live Shows role, open Settings › Live Shows › Content Library. Its creation menu offers Product and Look.

How it works

Search the catalogue by name, SKU or ID, or description, and filter by content type. Multiple search words narrow the match together.

To add a Product, enter Name and SKU / ID, add images, and select the main image. Add Description, URL, Price, Currency and Archive Date as needed. Use the language tabs for translated text.

To create a Look, enter its details and upload Look Thumbnail. Use the plus button under Products to open Select Products from Content Library, select products and choose Add to Look. You can edit or remove a product within the Look before saving.

Configure it

Ask Powerfront to prepare the website's language and currency settings before authoring content. Save products first if you want to select them for a Look. Both product and Look editors require a thumbnail; a non-zero product price also requires a currency.

Review a Look's included products when changing catalogue information. Editing a product within a Look changes the copy being edited there; do not assume that later changes to a separate product will update every saved Look.

FAQ and troubleshooting

Why will my product not save?

Check the required name and identifier, select a thumbnail and choose a currency if you entered a non-zero price.

Why will my Look not save?

Check Name, SKU / ID, URL validation and Look Thumbnail.

Why does a search return fewer results when I add words?

The search combines the words, so the matching content must satisfy all supplied terms. Try a shorter query or a different content-type filter.

Why is a product in a saved Look different from the catalogue product?

A Look saves its included product details. Review and edit that product within the Look when you need to change its presentation.
