Assisted basket transfer to the storefront
Send the basket prepared during an assisted screen-sharing session to the visitor's storefront basket.
What it is
Transfer Basket sends the basket prepared during an assisted shopping session to the visitor. The storefront integration reads the prepared basket and adds its contents on the visitor's side. Your website must support both parts of this integration.
Who uses it and why
- Operators prepare products during screen sharing and send the basket to the customer.
- Visitors receive the prepared items in their storefront basket and continue shopping or checking out there.
- Developers implement and verify the storefront's basket collection and application behaviour with Powerfront.
Where to find it
When enabled, Transfer Basket appears on the INSIDE Screen Sharing page. The availability control is Enable Transfer Basket under Settings › General Settings › Website, available to the Settings role, subject to Settings Permissions. Powerfront manages Enable Transfer Basket and can change it for you.
How it works
- Start the supported assisted screen-sharing session for the visitor.
- Prepare the basket on the storefront used by the session.
- Choose Transfer Basket on the screen-sharing page.
- Confirm the prompt asking whether you want to send the basket to the customer.
- The storefront integration collects the basket and sends it to the visitor's integration, which applies the items.
- Check the resulting basket with the visitor before they continue to checkout.
The screen-sharing integration can also expose basket transfer through its session controls.
Configure it
Ask Powerfront to enable Enable Transfer Basket for the website and confirm any subsite-specific setup.
Developers must connect the storefront's basket-reading and basket-adding behaviour to the assisted session. Test product identity, variants and quantities with the actual storefront. Also confirm what happens when the visitor already has items in their basket.

Limits and good to know
- This feature depends on the storefront integration. Enabling the control alone does not add basket support to a website.
- The storefront decides how incoming items affect an existing basket. Do not assume that every integration merges or replaces baskets in the same way.
- Sending a basket does not confirm a purchase or charge a payment method.
- The transfer does not supply a general per-item success receipt. Check the visitor's resulting basket before treating it as complete.
- Website and subsite enablement can produce inconsistent control visibility in this release. Ask Powerfront to check both if the transfer action behaves differently between subsites.

FAQ and troubleshooting
Why is Transfer Basket missing?
Check that you are in the supported screen-sharing experience. Ask Powerfront to confirm website and subsite enablement and the storefront integration.
Why did the visitor's basket not change?
The visitor's storefront integration must accept and apply the basket. Ask your integration developer to check that both the sending and receiving sides support the current storefront.
Will the transfer replace items already in the visitor's basket?
That depends on the storefront integration. Confirm the behaviour during setup and check the basket with the visitor.
Can I safely press Transfer Basket again if nothing appears?
Check the visitor's basket first. This transfer path does not provide a universal guarantee that repeating it will avoid duplicate items.
