Floor scenes and industry settings
Choose the shared floor scene and use labels and imagery that suit your website.
What it is
Industry Type chooses the scene used for the operator floor. It changes the background, objects and places where visitors gather. Shared labels, logos and supported scene images help the floor represent your website.
Who uses it and why
- Users with the Settings role choose the website's scene and manage permitted shared branding.
- Operators use the resulting scene to follow visitor activity.
Where to find it
Open Settings › Floor › Industry Type to choose a scene. The Settings role grants access.
The Settings role grants access to shared text, logo and cart appearance in Settings › Floor › Floor Settings. Custom Floors is Powerfront-managed. Ask Powerfront to add or change a custom floor for you.
How it works
Choose a scene thumbnail and save the selection. The floor loads the scene and places visitors on its available positions.
Available scene names include Generic, Clothing, Airline, Bank, University, Office and Hotel. The editor also includes configurable scenes and any custom floors prepared for the website.
Some scenes have an edit control for their objects or labels. Depending on the scene, you can configure text, matching keywords, billboard images or images placed over floor objects. These controls are specific to the selected scene.
Configure it
- With the Settings role, open Settings › Floor › Industry Type.
- Select the scene you want.
- If its edit control is available, open it and set the supported labels or images.
- Save the scene configuration and selection.
For floor branding, use the Settings role to access Site Name Text, Floor Logo and Cart Type in Floor Settings. Site Name Text supplies floor text; Floor Logo selects an image. Cart Type offers Basket, Document and Ticket and changes the related held-item display and statistics labels.
Ask Powerfront to prepare custom floors and change shared Operator Uniform or Hair Mask branding.

Limits and good to know
- The industry selection belongs to the website. It is shared rather than a separate personal floor choice for every operator.
- Scenes have different objects and configuration options. An image or label control in one scene may not exist in another.
- Moving a visitor within the illustrated scene does not change their real location.
- Custom floor descriptions must be non-empty and unique in their editor.
- A scene change changes presentation. It does not replace your channel access or conversation-routing configuration.

FAQ and troubleshooting
Why do all operators see the new scene?
The industry selection is a website setting shared by the console.
Why can I not find Custom Floors?
Powerfront manages that screen. Ask Powerfront to add or change a custom floor for your website.
Why does this scene have fewer edit options?
The available objects, labels and images depend on the scene. Choose a configurable scene or discuss a custom floor with Powerfront.
Does changing Cart Type change how purchases are tracked?
It changes the floor's held-item display and related labels. Commerce tracking is configured separately.
