What it is

You can keep a recording of a live show and make it available after the broadcast. Past Shows lets you review recordings before publishing them. Visitor replay can include the show's featured content, reactions and public discussion alongside the video.

Who uses it and why

  • Operators with Live Shows access review, download and publish recordings.
  • Administrators arrange recording availability with Powerfront and, with the Live Shows role, choose which shows to record.
  • Visitors watch published recordings after a show has finished.

Where to find it

Set Record Show when editing a show in Settings › Live Shows › Shows. Review the finished broadcast in Settings › Live Shows › Past Shows.

How it works

  1. Select Record Show before the broadcast. Recording starts when the show goes live if the recording service is ready.
  2. After the show, open Past Shows. Use Request Recording when a recording needs processing, then wait for its status to update.
  3. Choose Watch to review the result. Where several recordings are available, open the recording list to review them individually.
  4. Choose Publish for the recordings you want visitors to watch. Unpublish removes publication for future access requests. The show row also offers publication actions across its recordings.
  5. Use Download when the download is ready.

Replay follows the original content-focus timeline and adjusts its timing for pauses in the broadcast. It includes answered questions with public replies and messages sent to everyone. Private replies and messages addressed to one visitor are excluded from that replay discussion.

Configure it

Ask Powerfront to enable the live-show recording service for your environment. You can then select Record Show on the relevant shows. The Live Shows role grants access to the show screens.

Publication is a separate action after recording and processing. Review the available recordings before selecting Publish.

Limits and good to know

  • Selecting Record Show depends on the recording service being available. It does not guarantee a finished recording.
  • Processing and preparing a download can take time. A pending or processing status means the recording is not ready yet.
  • Unpublishing should not be treated as immediate revocation of a playback link that has already been issued.
  • A downloaded video and the interactive visitor replay are different experiences. The interactive replay supplies the synchronised content and discussion.

FAQ and troubleshooting

Why is there no recording for my show?

Check whether Record Show was selected before broadcasting. Ask Powerfront to check recording-service availability if it was selected but no recording becomes available.

Why can I watch a recording in INSIDE but visitors cannot?

Review access and visitor publication are separate. Check that the required recording is published in Past Shows.

Why is Download unavailable?

The downloadable version may still be preparing. Wait for the recording's download status to become ready.

Does replay expose private answers?

The replay discussion includes public answered questions and messages sent to everyone. It excludes private replies and individually addressed messages.
