What it is

Operation Analysis is an older daily chart available in History. It puts hourly visitors, engagement, completed-form activity and sales on one timeline. The related Trending Now view shows products ranked by recorded views.

Who uses it and why

  • Supervisors compare the timing of visitor demand and business activity during a day.
  • Administrators review daily patterns and use Trending Now to see which tracked products attract attention.

Where to find it

With the Stats role, open History from the top navigation. In the view selector, choose Operation Analysis or Trending Now.

For current cross-channel performance and date comparisons, use Service Overview › Performance.

How it works

  1. Select the website you want to review.
  2. Open History › Operation Analysis.
  3. Use Select Date to choose a day, or review the default current day.
  4. Compare the hourly series and their values on the graph.

The graph includes Visitors, Call Handled, Engagements, Forms and Sales. These labels use different counting units:

  • Visitors counts distinct visitors within each hour.
  • Engagements counts distinct visitors whose conversations started in the hour.
  • Forms counts distinct visitors with completed-form activity in the hour.
  • Sales counts distinct purchasing visitors in the hour, rather than orders or revenue.

In Trending Now, INSIDE displays product names, images and view counts. Where a product has a link, select it to open the product page. A subsite selection can narrow the view.

Configure it

Someone with the Settings or Manager role can review your Stats role at Settings › Account › Operators.

Select the website and day in the workspace. Trending Now can be hidden for a website; Powerfront can check its availability and the product tracking that supplies it.

Limits and good to know

  • These are hourly distinct counts. Adding hours can count a returning visitor more than once.
  • Sales is not an order count. Use sales and conversion reports when you need orders or revenue.
  • Future hours can be blank while elapsed hours show zero. If there is no visitor data for the selected day, the timeline can be empty.
  • The chart uses 24 hourly positions. Check detailed reports before relying on it for a daylight-saving transition day.
  • Trending Now displays up to 100 products for its recent-period view. Views are not unique shoppers or purchases.
  • Operation Analysis does not provide the period-comparison controls available in Performance.

FAQ and troubleshooting

Why is Sales lower than my order count?

This chart counts distinct purchasing visitors per hour. One visitor can place more than one order.

Why are the later hours blank?

Those hours may not have occurred yet. Blank future intervals and measured zero activity have different meanings.

Why is Trending Now empty?

There may be no tracked product-view data for the website or selected subsite. Powerfront can check product tracking if views are expected.

Where can I compare this month with last year?

Use Service Overview › Performance, which provides comparison periods.
